It Is Well with My Soul

This has long been a favorite hymn of mine, especially considering the tragedy that shrouded the life of Horatio Spafford when he wrote it. I’ve always loved the third verse, but tonight I could really claim it as mine. For the first time in a long time, I can truly say, “It is well with my soul.”

“My sin – oh, the bliss of this glorious thought! – my sin, not in part, but the whole, is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more; praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul!”
